I was born in New York, but have lived in Texas long enough to say “ya'll”. I received a Fine Arts Degree from Penn State, spent 25 years in the corporate world, and then left the big city of Dallas to start a scratch bakery and café in Winnsboro, Texas. I fulfilled the dream of owning my own business and met wonderful people. It was sold after ten big years!
I have since returned to my first love…art. My medium of choice is pastel, sometimes with colored washes, always with lots of color and the directness of drawing, the subject matter has been inspired by Nature, Texas and Vieques Puerto Rico! My studio/gallery is located in old downtown Lufkin, Texas... in the Heritage Mall, two blocks from the Angelina County Courthouse Square.(see address below) Stop by, see my finished pieces on display and watch the artist at work. Art instruction is available. I like to share my enthusiasm for drawing and pastels and currently have students of all ages!
